His Majesty The King has has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Reverend Beverley Joan Hervé to the Crown living of St Michel Du Valle, Guernsey.
Mrs Hervé has been serving as assistant curate in the parishes of Castel and St Matthew Cobo.
Mrs Hervé will begin her new ministry on 28 February 2023, at a service during which His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor will present Mrs Hervé to the Dean for institution and induction as Rector.
This is the first appointment to a Crown living in Guernsey by His Majesty The King.
Before her ordination as a deacon in June 2019 by the Archbishop of Canterbury and as a priest in September 2020 by the Right Reverend Trevor Willmott, Mrs Hervé was a Registered General Nurse. She was Head of Governance Support & Compliance for the Committee for Health and Social Care in Guernsey until she began her preparation for ordination, during which time she was Sister and Professional Development Lead at St John’s Residential Home, Guernsey.
