A message to the Guernsey churches

23rd January 2021

A letter to the churches in Guernsey has been issued today by the church leaders in Guernsey.

This is a response to the decision by the Civil Contingencies Authority in the Bailiwick of Guernsey that Guernsey has returned to lockdown with immediate effect.

The church leaders, representing the main Christian traditions in Guernsey, end their letter with these words:

'We express our warmest thanks to the staff of the States of Guernsey and our political leaders for their prompt response and their unambiguous message today. We offer our prayers for them and for all the people of Guernsey, that, by working together, our islands can once again enjoy the freedom and security that we have valued so much.'

The letter is available here.
